NEW YORK (Kashmir English): The match between Belgium and Iran in the FIFA World Cup 2026 ended in a draw.
The match between Iran and Belgium was good in the Group G match played at the Los Angeles Stadium.
In the first half, the Iranian team would have taken the lead because the ball reached the Belgian goal on a free kick in the 28th minute, but the referee ruled the Iranian player offside and disallowed the goal.
The Belgian team had a tough time in the match, but the Iranian defenders and especially the goalkeeper Ali Reza had no answer. By the way, they saved many goals, but in the second half, they stopped an attack on a Belgian move that experts declared the “save of the tournament”.
On the other hand, Belgium’s experienced goalkeeper Courtois also showed excellent goalkeeping, and this was the reason why the players of both teams could not give their teams the lead.
A Belgian player was shown a red card for a dangerous foul in the second half and played the rest of the match with 10 men.
