ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan has once again been ranked at the bottom of the list of the most powerful passports in the world for the second half of 2026.
In the list released by Henley & Partners for July to December 2026, the passport of the Asian country Singapore has once again been declared the most powerful.
The list released on July 1 stated that Singaporean passport holders can travel to 192 countries without a visa.
There are also 3 Asian countries in second place. The United Arab Emirates, Japan, and South Korea are jointly in second place, with passport holders getting visa-free access to 188 countries.
Third place went to the European country Sweden, whose passport has visa-free access to 187 countries.
Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, the Netherlands, and Spain came in fourth place, and their passports can provide visa-free access to 186 countries.
With visa-free entry to 185 countries, the passports of Greece, Austria, Malta, Portugal, and Switzerland were jointly ranked 5th.
The list ranks countries by focusing on ease of travel, and the US passport has risen to 10th place, which was once considered the most powerful passport in the world.
According to the company, the UAE passport is the fastest-rising passport in the past decade. This passport’s ranking has improved by 40 places in a decade and is now in second place.
Pakistan has been named the fourth country with the weakest passport.
Overall, the Pakistani passport ranked 100th and allows visa-free entry to 30 countries. Below Pakistan were Iraq (101), Syria (102), and Afghanistan (103).
Above Pakistan were Yemen (99th), Somalia (98th), Nepal (97th), North Korea and Bangladesh (96th), Palestine and Iran (95th), Eritrea (94th), while Sri Lanka and Libya were at 93rd place.
