MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): A significant development has been made in Deputy Secretary AJK Prime Minister’s Secretariat Arif Butt case.
According to the details, Hasnain, an employee of the AJK Information Department, has been arrested on charges of luring and forcing girls for immoral activities with the pretext of jobs.
The accused was arrested and remanded in custody during an operation within the Secretariat police station limits.
The arrest was made based on evidence obtained from Deputy Secretary Arif Butt’s mobile phone data, which included chats, screenshots, and objectionable messages with Hasnain.
A case has been registered under Section 19-ZA, and the accused has been taken into custody.
Police said that the investigation scope has been expanded, and more sensational revelations are expected. Sources suggest that more influential people may be involved in this network.
Police officials have assured that all requirements of justice will be fulfilled, and no one will be considered above the law.
Last week, the Azad Kashmir government suspended Deputy Secretary Muhammad Arif from service with effect from the date of arrest, dated June 12.
