MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has approved an additional Rs 518.938 million to meet the pension deficit of retired employees and pensioners of local bodies from December 2024 to June 2026.
This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting on December 17, 2025. An additional Rs 518.938 million (Rs 51 crore, 89 lakh, 38 thousand) has been provided.
The amount has been allocated under Grant No. 31, Miscellaneous, in the budget for 2025-26.
Future pension deductions will be made from the Grant-in-Aid to Local Bodies by the Finance Department.
