MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, has strongly stated that India would not dare to initiate any military aggression against Pakistan, highlighting that the region remains fully prepared to counter any such threats.
In a recent interview, PM Azad Kashmir condemned India’s ongoing diplomatic manoeuvres aimed at escalating water aggression, particularly the release of a 40,000 cusec water surge into the Jhelum River.
However, he assured that both the Azad Kashmir government and infrastructure were fully equipped to handle such situations.
“Alhamdulillah, I believe that the greatest assurance in my life is my death,” said PM Azad Kashmir, asserting his unwavering commitment to the safety of the region.
“As long as Allah gives me life, I will stand firm in fulfilling my constitutional duties as the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir.”
PM Azad Kashmir also mentioned that the people of the region were prepared for any form of aggression, including a potential military adventure from India.
He added, “India may not have the courage to violate Pakistan’s international borders, let alone venture into Azad Kashmir. We have five lakh retired soldiers ready to defend the territory, and our youth are united in this resolve.”
He further stressed that any such military misadventure would not be tolerated, stating that the Pakistani military, along with Azad Kashmir’s forces, would respond decisively.
PM Azad Kashmir also recalled a statement made by Pakistan’s military chief in Muzaffarabad, where he declared readiness for further confrontations, if necessary.
Discussing the broader situation in India, PM Azad Kashmir pointed out the deteriorating conditions for minorities, including Muslims and Dalits, who are facing increasing persecution.
“India may have 900,000 troops in occupied Kashmir, but they have failed to win the hearts of the people there. Their military power is futile,” he added.
PM Azad Kashmir reiterated that should India initiate any aggression, Pakistan would respond in kind. He also made it clear that any such plans by Indian Prime Minister Modi would not be tolerated, and that India’s diplomatic efforts would be met with a strong diplomatic response.
PM Azad Kashmir concluded with a warning to India: “If Modi dares to make any moves, there will be no guarantees of safety, neither for his moustaches nor his cup of tea.”
