MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Commissioner Mirpur Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain took strict notice of the internet and mobile service outage by telecommunication companies in the Mirpur Division.
Commissioner Mirpur Division summoned the local representatives of all mobile service companies to his office and instructed them to immediately address the issue of slow internet and non-provision of services and ensure 4G services in the areas.
Commissioner Mirpur Division, while issuing instructions, said that in the areas where there is no power backup at telecommunication towers during a power outage, they should ensure power backup immediately without delay.
He instructed all representatives of all telecom companies to contact their respective head officers and resolve the public complaints within 10 days and provide services as per standards.
Hussain further added that such companies that cannot provide mobile and internet services according to their packages should reduce their packages and inform the public about substandard services.
Furthermore, he said that a meeting will be held again on April 26 to review the progress of mobile network companies.
He added that legal action would be taken against such companies that failed to improve the quality of services in the Mirpur division by April 26.
“Companies that do not improve the quality of services will not be allowed to work in the Mirpur Division, nor will any company be given any concessions,” as per the statement shared by the Commissioner’s office.
