MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Great religious enthusiasm is being witnessed to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on March 31 (Monday) subject to sighting of Shawaal moon.
Kashmiris dwelling both sides of the LoC, have already declared to celebrate the festival along with their brothers in in Pakistan as a mark of full solidarity, love and affection with the country.
The festival will be observed with traditional religious zeal and fervour with the renewal of the resolve to continue acting upon and upholding the teachings of Islam, the supreme religion of love and mutual harmony among the humanity.
Eid day
The day will dawn at Fajr with special prayers in the mosques for the stability, integrity, unity and solidarity of the Muslim Ummah, progress and prosperity of Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir, early liberation of all occupied Muslim homelands including the bleeding Indian Illegally-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and burning occupied Palestine besides for the early success of the Kashmiris just and principled struggle for freedom of the motherland from long Indian manacles.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, special Eid-ul-Fitr prayer congregations will be held at open places, eid gahs and central mosques in all small and major cities and towns of all 10 districts of the liberated territory including the state’s metropolis Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Kotli, Bhimbher, Bagh, Sudhanoti, Rawalakot, Hattiyan, Havaili and Neelam valley districts where the Muslim population of the Muslim dominated Himalayan state will offer Eid prayer.
Muslims will later mutually exchange Eid-ul-fitr felicitations, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
