MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Azad Jammu and Kashmir Medical College Muzaffarabad has attained 5th position in the MBBS annual exams held across the country’s medical institutions by recording 98 percent success rate.
The institution achieved the milestone in the leadership of Professor Dr. Adnan Meraj.
The college’s overall result in the 4th year MBBS remained 98 percent thus securing 5th place among the 187 medical colleges across the country while attaining third position among the colleges affiliated with the University of Health Sciences.
Parents and civil society have congratulated the head of the institution for achieving the landmark success in the annual exams.

They attributed the success to the hard work and dedication of Principal Azad Kashmir Medical College Professor Dr. Adnan Meraj, Professor Dr. Irm Gillani Head Community Medicine, and all faculty members.
As many as 103 students of the college appeared in the exam out of which 101 passed the exam, registering an overall result of 98 percent. As of March 2025, Pakistan has 66 public sector and 121 private medical colleges.
