MIRPUR (Kashmir English): A large number of women hailing from different aspects of life vows thier support in favor of peace and stability and boycott of the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).
An important press conference was organized at the Kashmir Press Club, Mirpur, under the leadership of Ms. Kishor Naheed from the Muslim Conference, Naila Shakoor from the Chairperson of the Aam Aadmi Party, Social activist Nasreen Farooq, and social media activist Tamanna Hanan Lon.
Addressing the press conference, the speakers said that Azad Kashmir is a peaceful region and the banned JAAC is responsible for the chaos, unrest, and tension.
They said that in the context of the recent situation, the people need to be wary of such elements who want to promote division and unrest in society.
The women leaders said that the relationship between Pakistan and Azad Kashmir is based on historical, ideological, and public sentiments, which cannot be weakened under any circumstances.
They said that Pakistan has always made great efforts for the construction and development of Azad Kashmir and the provision of basic facilities.
The speakers said that the conscious people of Azad Kashmir are in favor of peace, development, and stability, and will not accept any behavior that causes unrest or tension in the state.
They appealed to the people, especially women, to stay away from rumors and inflammatory statements and play their role in promoting peace and harmony in society.
A large number of women and children attended the press conference. The speakers reiterated the resolve that every possible effort will be made to make Azad Kashmir a cradle of peace, brotherhood, and development, and that anti-patriotic or anarchist thinking will not be allowed to succeed.
