ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Faisal Rathore has said that the government does not want chaos in the state.

He added that if the situation worsens, an emergency may be declared. While talking to journalists, he said that in the current situation, Azad Kashmir cannot afford any chaos

The PM AJK noted that our eternal enemy India takes advantage of the opportunity to propagate against the state of Pakistan. Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said that the Joint Action Committee is doing politics of blackmail and every time the demands are accepted, it brings new demands.

He made it clear that challenging the state writ cannot be allowed under any circumstances and the government will fight every attempt to paralyze the state system within the legal framework.

The Azad Kashmir Prime Minister said that the rights and privileges of Azad Kashmir should be compared fairly with other regions. He claimed that the salaries of Gilgit-Baltistan ministers are many times higher than those of Azad Kashmir ministers, but still it was said that we are taking more privileges.

He said that the government believes in negotiations, but the state institutions and the system of government cannot be allowed to be paralyzed.

The Prime Minister said that the Action Committee is using inappropriate language against the government leadership, which is against political and democratic traditions.

PM Rathore further noted that a meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Kashmir parliamentary party has been called at Zardari House in Islamabad today to consider the current situation, where consultations will be held.

He said that the meeting will consider the current political situation of Azad Kashmir, public affairs and the strategy related to the upcoming elections.

According to Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, he is also scheduled to meet Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto, in which he will inform the party leadership about the political situation of Azad Kashmir and the election strategy.

He said that necessary decisions will be taken to protect state institutions and public interests.

The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir said that his government has paid special attention to education, infrastructure and development projects during the last 6 months.

He further said that work is going on rapidly on projects for schools, colleges and other public facilities in backward areas.

Faisal Mumtaz Rathore expressed his resolve that no compromise will be made on the resolution of public problems, state stability, law and order and establishment of state writ.
