MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Weather Update for Friday, February 28, 2025. Azad Kashmir weather today is overall stormy, rainy, cloudy and hazy.
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain and snowfall until March 2, prompting authorities to warn residents and tourists about travel disruptions and extreme cold.
According to the Meteorological Department Pakistan weather alert, the powerful westerly weather system will bombard upper regions with heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, strong gales, and snow accumulation.
Previously, the weather in AJK was mostly rainy throughout the region.
Rainfall/Snowfall Warning: The weather is rainy, cloudy and hazy. Winds are light and fluctuating; stormy weather is to be expected.
Landslide Risk: There can be a high risk of landslides as rain and snow are expected. Tourists and locals are advised to avoid unnecessary travel.
Fog Advisory: Dense fog may reduce visibility in the early mornings and late evenings, affecting travel. Winds are light, especially in the Azad Kashmir area, and are hazy and fluctuating.
