ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): A unique universal number has been created for overseas Pakistanis, giving citizens the facility to contact Punjab Emergency Services regardless of their location.

As per the information revealed, on the unique instructions of Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab Safe Cities Authority has made a groundbreaking move for overseas Pakistanis.

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority has created a special emergency number for overseas Pakistanis, 15, thereby ensuring the provision of direct services by the Punjab Police to the citizens of the country, irrespective of their location in the world.

A representative of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority said that the best thing about this development is that citizens who live outside Punjab or any other country can contact Punjab Emergency Services directly through this development.

Through the special universal number, overseas Pakistanis can file complaints and alert the Punjab Police in case of an emergency occurring in their area.

He also mentioned that all important services of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority will be available 24/7 through the universal access number.
