QALAT, Pakistan (Kashmir English): An attempt by terrorists to block the road and burn trailers in Qalat was foiled, security forces said on Monday, also killing two terrorists and recovered two motorcycles and heavy weapons.
Security forces received intelligence that miscreants were present at Rodengo Crossing who intend to block the road, upon which two commando teams were deployed.
Commandos at Raj Check Post reported movement of miscreants from the east. As soon as the terrorists came onto the road to set up a blockade, fire was immediately opened on them, causing the terrorists to flee eastward towards Syed Ali Hills.
Pak Army soldiers pursued the terrorists and recovered two motorcycles belonging to the terrorists four kilometers east of Raj Check Post.
On the other hand, an attempt to block the road and set on fire two trailers was also reported five kilometers south of Rodengo Crossing (Gaiwan village).
A total of 17 trailers were heading towards Qalat. The miscreants fired at two trailers and attempted to damage the driver’s cabin.
Pak Army soldiers immediately moved towards Rodengo Crossing. Movement of two unknown suspects was observed east of Gaiwan village, who were pursued and killed.
Bodies of both terrorists recovered
Security forces also took custody of the bodies of both terrorists, while the trailers and drivers were shifted back to Qalat.
One rifle, one SMG, 6 mobile phones, 10 magazines, 2 hand grenades, 2 STOS devices, and 2 motorcycles were recovered from the terrorists.
