BEJIENG (Kashmir English): Chinese-British automaker MG Motor has officially adjusted down the price of its small electric hatchback, the Binguo EV, in Pakistan to Rs. 5,699,000, which gives buyers a straight saving of Rs. 300,000.
This move happens as competition keeps tightening in the country’s growing electric vehicle market. This latest reduction makes the MG Binguo EV sit among the most budget-friendly branded electric hatchbacks you can currently find in Pakistan.
In turn, it supports MG’s push to get more EVs into everyday use, especially for urban commuters who are dealing with higher fuel prices and overall travel expenses.
The revised numbers showed up through several automotive updates and dealer deals circulating online on Monday, sort of in multiple places at once, which is why people noticed it quickly.
Before this change, the Binguo EV was launched at roughly Rs, 5.99 million. It drew attention early on for bringing a workable city-driving package, plus fresh styling, fast charging ability, and notably lower running costs than typical petrol hatchbacks.
On the specification side, MG Pakistan lists that the Binguo EV is backed by a 31.9 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of as much as 333 kilometers (CLTC).
For charging, DC fast charging is said to top up the battery from 30% to 80% in about 35 minutes. As for the look and equipment, the compact EV uses a retro-leaning hatchback design, includes dual 10.25-inch digital displays, LED lighting, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors.
It also adds some safety features, all aimed at drivers who mostly travel around town. Industry analysts think the new pricing could make the Binguo EV feel more appealing for first-time EV buyers in Pakistan.
This is especially likely in major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. Pakistan’s EV scene has picked up momentum in recent months, as automakers are racing to roll out more affordable models and keep up with demand, even as buyers ask for quicker adoption and better value.
