LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Punjab government on Tuesday decided to allow summer camps in schools during the summer vacation to continue educational activities.
Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said that summer camps will be allowed to be set up in schools from the beginning of the summer vacation. The camps will be able to continue for a month in limited hours so that the curriculum can be completed.
The summer camps will continue from 7:30 am to 9:30 a and are being allowed to complete the curriculum, the education minister said. Sikandar Hayat said that they are going to allow summer camps from the first week of the vacations.
Punjab summer vacation
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat on Monday announced a three-month-long summer vacation for schools across the province.
In a post on Facebook, the eduation minister said that the vacations would continue from May 22 to August 23.
“School Holidays in Punjab Will Start On Friday, the 22nd of May. Schools Will Resume on Monday, the 24th of August, Inshallah,” he wrote in a post.
Later today, the Punjab cabinet, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, approved summer vacation in schools from May 22 to August 24, the official statement said.
