LAHORE (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today.
In a statement on his office Facebook account, Rathore said that during the meeting, “we fondly recalled the longstanding friendship between our fathers, Mumtaz Hussain Rathore and Nawaz Sharif, whose legacy continues to inspire us.”
He deeply appreciated CM Maryam’s people-centric initiatives and commitment to improved governance in Punjab, the statement said.
“I am particularly grateful for her positive response regarding the rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants settled in Punjab and the improvement of road infrastructure linking Azad Jammu and Kashmir with Punjab.”
Together, we remain committed to the welfare and progress of our people, he said.
