LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistan’s rising left-arm pacer Salman Mirza has sent a legal notice to a reporter of a prominent news channel, ARY News, for allegedly spreading false and baseless news about him.

According to reports, Salman Mirza has accused the journalist of airing incorrect and defamatory information, which he says has damaged his reputation. In the legal notice, he has demanded an explanation and asked the reporter to immediately stop spreading what he calls misleading claims.

Sources say the notice also warns that if the matter is not resolved, Salman Mirza may pursue further legal action against the reporter and the channel.

The development has sparked discussion on social media, with users debating the issue of media responsibility and the spread of unverified information in the digital age.

Salman Mirza Accused of Misconduct

Earlier, the rising left-arm pacer Salman Mirza planned to respond strongly against the local news outlet, which previously accused him of misconduct during Pakistan’s recent tour to Sri Lanka.

He has announced he will file a lawsuit against the reporter who worked for a specific news organization which broadcasted false accusations about him.

The unversed should know that a report previously stated that hotel staff accused Salman Mirza of improper conduct, which resulted in their formal complaint about him to the team management.

The team management conducted a review, which revealed that Salman Mirza breached the code of conduct and faced disciplinary action, which included a substantial financial penalty.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took note of these misleading reports and dismissed them as blatant misinformation. The board said that it reserves the right to take action against individuals spreading this information, which is totally baseless.

Salman Mirza used social media shortly after that to refute all reports, which he described as absurd news that reflects cheap journalism. The left-arm bowler further said that he will take legal action against the reporter who is involved in this whole drama. He also urged the government authorities to investigate this matter because false reporting damages players’ professional image.
