DORAL, USA (Kashmir English): US President Donald Trump has said that Israel would have been “wiped out” had the U.S. not intervened with B-2 stealth bombers.
Trump made these remarks while addressing the gathering of Republicans at his golf club in Doral, Florida on Tuesday.
Trump argued that without these specific B-2 strikes on Iranian “hardened” facilities, Israel would have faced total destruction.
Trumps comments come amidst an intense escalation where U.S. and Israeli forces have joined hands to dismantle Iran’s missile and naval capabilities.
Trump further said Iran’s “terrorist leaders” are either gone now or are counting down to when they will be gone.
“Think, we had leaders, they were gone. New leaders came, they were also gone. Now no one knows who will be the next head of the country, but we will not stop until the enemy is completely and decisively defeated.”
Trump says war against Iran would be a “short-term excursion”
President Trump said that the war against Iran would be a “short-term excursion,” while insisting that the offensive would continue “until the enemy is totally and decisively defeated.”
“We took a little excursion because we felt we had to do that to get rid of some people. And I think you´ll see it´s going to be a short-term excursion,” Trump told Republicans gathering.
Separately, in an interview with CBS News, Trump said he was considering stronger control over the Strait of Hormuz that serves as a key global shipping route.
