ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): There are likely to be 3 official holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 in Pakistan, while Saudi Arabia has announced 4-day holidays for the private sector.
The Cabinet Division in Pakistan has issued a formal notification of general and optional holidays for the year 2026. According to this notification, there will be 3 Eid-ul-Fitr holidays across the country on March 21, 22, and 23, 2026.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has also issued its prediction regarding the moon, according to which there is a strong possibility of Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan falling on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
Details of Eid holidays have also come out from Saudi Arabia. According to the Arab News Agency, the Saudi Ministry of Manpower has announced 4-day holidays for private and non-profit organizations.
Government spokesman Muhammad Al-Rizqi says the holidays will begin on Wednesday, March 18, i.e., Ramadan 29, from the end of work and will continue for four consecutive days.
