Adiala Jail report sparks debate over facilities given to PTI founder

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): For the first time in 2.5 years of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s imprisonment, the superintendent of Adiala Jail has submitted a detailed report to the Supreme Court regarding the facilities provided to Imran Khan within Adiala Jail.

According to the report, the compound that authorities assigned to PTI founder Imran Khan contains seven cells that can hold between 30 and 35 inmates. A 57-foot-long and 14-foot-wide corridor is located in front of his cell.

The compound contains an adjacent 35×37 lawn, which he uses for sitting, reading books and newspapers, and sunbathing. The report states that he has been provided with a cycling machine and other gym equipment for daily exercise.

Diet Details of PTI Founder

The jail superintendent’s report states that his breakfast consists of dates, walnuts, honey, coffee porridge, lassi, hot milk, chia seeds, misri, and pomegranate juice. For lunch, he eats desi chicken mutton mixed dal salad, pickle, potato chips, and fried egg.

At night, he receives a shake which contains almond kashmish coconut powder milk, dates, banana, and apple. The report states that he receives access to natural sunlight and fresh air from morning until evening while he stays in a secure and safe environment.

The document states that the PTI founder receives superior-class treatment from the prison authorities.
