ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has moved to fulfill his earlier promise to overseas Pakistanis by announcing civil awards for 16 expatriates in recognition of their outstanding services and investments in the country.
The awards will be presented during the Pakistan Day ceremony. The federal government said distinguished overseas Pakistanis from around the world will be honored for their contributions and for serving as ambassadors of Pakistan abroad.
The prime minister announced civil awards for overseas Pakistanis who invest substantial amounts into Pakistan in April 2025. The government established an incentive package for Pakistani citizens who reside in foreign countries, which includes various benefits.
