KHARAN (Kashmir English): At least 12 terrorists were killed in three different engagements after they carried out several activities in Balochistan’s Kharan, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), approximately 15 to 20 Indian sponsored terrorists of Fitna Al Hindustan carried out multiple activities in Kharan on Thursday.
“Wherein, terrorists attacked the City Police Station, the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), and Habib Bank Limited. During the activity, Rs 3.4 million were looted from the banks by terrorists,” the ISPR said.
It added that security forces effectively responded and engaged the terrorists, prompting them to retreat.
“During the ensuing clearance operation, twelve terrorists were sent to hell in three different engagements,” the military said, adding that the terrorists’ design to create a hostage situation at the police station was also effectively thwarted.
“Sanitization operation continues in the surroundings to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorists,” the statement reads.
“A relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm-e-Istehkam” by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” it said.
