TATTA PANI (Kashmir English): In a bizarre turn of events, a young man lost his life while two others were injured in a jeep accident near the border area of Tatta Pani, Azad Kashmir.
The accident occurred at Darra Sher Khan Jabr Gali Barmuch Road, where a speeding jeep lost its control and tumbled down a deep gorge.
According to the eyewitnesses, there were three people in the jeep, including the driver and two passengers. The young man identified as, Qasid Mehboob, son of Muhammad Mehboob, died on the spot while the other two received severe injuries.
The injured identified as Majid, son of Muhammad Mehboob, and Mehran, son of Sikandar, were rescued by local people and admitted to the nearest RHC Hospital Tatta Pani.
The injured were given primary treatment and referred to the DHQ Hospital Kotli. This incident has sent waves of shock throughout the community, with condolences flooding in for the family of the deceased.
Such incidents call for heightened road safety awareness, and to advise drivers to be alert for such perilous routes. The traffic authorities are appealing to the drivers to be more careful and observe traffic rules so that such accidents do not reoccur.
