LEEPA (Kashmir English): To ensure that the public has access to fresh fruits and vegetables in the holy month of Ramadan, the Assistant Commissioner of Leepa chaired a crucial meeting with the vegetable vendors in Valley Leepa.
The meeting was arranged at the AC office, the Assistant Commissioner issued crucial instructions to all fruit and vegetable vendors to sell the commodities at a reasonable price.
During the meeting, the AC instructed all the vendors to sell vegetables and fruits according to the provided price list, which will be provided to the shopkeepers via WhatsApp.
The vendors are also requested to place price tags clearly on each item. The administration emphasized providing good quality and fresh fruits and vegetables to the masses during Ramadan so that no inconvenience is caused to the consumers.
This initiative will make prices stable and basic commodities accessible throughout the holy month to vendors and the masses.
By making the price and quality of fruits and vegetables simple, the government aims to offer a fairer and easier shopping experience to all.
The meeting and consequent directive confirm the administration’s readiness to assist local businesses as well as the community, especially in times of holy activities like fasting.
