ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Meteorological Department has issued a weather alert and predicted rain and snowfall in different parts of the country.
The Meteorological Department has issued a significant weather forecast for December 20 to 22 across the country.
According to the report, the westerly wind is expected to enter Balochistan on December 19. During this time, rain with thunderstorms and snowfall on the mountains are expected.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir may also receive rain on December 19 and 20, while heavy snowfall is likely at some places.
Rain is expected in various districts, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Peshawar, Charsadda, and Nowshera on December 19.
Heavy rainfall has also been predicted in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, with snowfall on the mountains expected in Murree and Galiyat from the night of December 20 to December 21.
According to the report, Sargodha, Khushab, Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Lahore may experience partly cloudy weather with light drizzle on December 20 and 21.
The Meteorological Department has advised citizens to be cautious as there is a risk of landslides, road closures, and slippage in mountainous areas.
