UTTARA KANNADA: An explosion was reported near the Indian Navy’s ammunition storage facility in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka state, The Times of India reported on Saturday.
The report further said that more than 30 houses developed cracks, windows, and doors rattled in a cluster of nearby villages due to the blast. The blast sent out thick plumes of smoke and caused alarm in Alageri, Mavina Keri, and the surrounding villages of Ankola in the district.
