RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): The authorities have announced that the metro bus services will remain suspended across Rawalpindi ahead of peace talks.

The authorities have also issued a traffic plan; according to on-ground updates, at least 26 bus terminals have been closed, causing inconvenience for daily commuters.

Key routes have also been affected, with entry to Srinagar Highway blocked from Kashmir Chowk (via Club Road), while the stretch from Zero Point to Serena remains closed.

The situation has led to confusion among commuters, with reports of conflicting information from official sources. Travelers have been advised to stay updated and plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays and inconvenience.

Authorities are yet to issue a clear, consolidated advisory as the situation continues to evolve.

Earlier, the authorities had suspended all private, public, and goods transport in Rawalpindi with immediate effect.

The Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi, in his official post on X, has stated that all private and public transport will be suspended with immediate effect.

Similarly, the DC Islamabad has also announced the complete suspension of heavy traffic and public transport until further notice.
