TOKYO: A tsunami warning has been issued for parts of Japan’s east coast after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the coastline Monday, according to Japan’s Meteorological Agency.
The Met Agency has issued a tsunami warning for the Pacific areas of Hokkaido, Aomori, and Iwate prefectures.
It further reported that the quake was recorded at a depth of 50 kilometers at 11:15 pm on December 8.
