ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the selection of pilgrims for the Hajj 2026 going under the government Hajj scheme 2026 has been completed.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the second and final installment of Hajj has been submitted, and 118,000 pilgrims have submitted an installment of Rs. 650,000.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has received the payment in two installments instead of a lump sum for convenience. The applications were received on a first-come, first-served basis without drawing lots to make the process easy and organized for the pilgrims.
Now the Ministry of Religious Affairs will verify the forms in the next phase and issue Hajj arrangements and necessary instructions to the successful candidates. This step will provide complete information and guidance to the pilgrims for an uninterrupted Hajj.
In addition, there is a separate quota and procedure for the private Hajj scheme, which is organized by the relevant companies.
Under the private scheme, the selection of pilgrims and the collection of fees are done in accordance with the companies’ own rules and regulations.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs, like every year, has taken steps to provide facilities to pilgrims this year as well. The payment system in two installments and the first-come, first-served principle have made the selection of pilgrims easier and the entire process transparent.
All these measures ensure that the pilgrims selected under the government scheme for Hajj 2026 are provided with complete and timely information, and they can prepare for Hajj without any hindrance.
