MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The students of Azad Kashmir University have staged a huge protest outside the main gate of Chella Campus against the lack of educational facilities, transport, and administrative problems.

A large number of students closed the main gate of the Chella campus in protest and raised strong slogans against the university administration.

According to the details, the protesters said that the academic and administrative problems in the university have not been resolved for a long time.

The lack of transport, the non-provision of basic educational facilities, and the continuous silence of the administration forced the students to come to the streets.

Due to the protest, teaching activities at the Chehla campus were completely suspended. Student representatives said that the administration was informed about the problems several times, but despite this, no practical action was taken.

According to them, if the university administration does not take immediate steps to resolve the problems, the scope of the protest will be further expanded.

The students made it clear that they will not back down from their legitimate demands under any circumstances. They said that a higher education institution aims to provide facilities and a better environment, but unfortunately, the situation at the University of Kashmir is the opposite.

Student representatives said that the next course of action will be decided in the All Parties Conference (APC) meeting to be held today, where a decision on future steps will be taken in consultation with student organizations and representatives.

Jamaia students have demanded that the university administration take serious steps to immediately resolve the problems so that academic activities can return to normal.
