MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Kashmir government on Tuesday extended the service period of ad hoc, temporary, and contract employees across various public sector departments until March 31, 2026.
The Services and General Administration Department has issued a notification in this regard after approval from the cabinet.
As per the notification, the extension applies to employees who are continuously serving in their positions, providing them with job security until the end of March 2026.
“Unlike previous extensions, this decision does not condition the extension on employees having the requisite educational qualifications at the time of their initial appointment,” it stated.
The AJK government grants extensions to temporary employees, with the previous extension valid until September 30, 2025.
