ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the party positions of political parties within the national and provincial assemblies.
The Election Commission has announced all the members of the Sunni Ittehad Council as independent members. The Election Commission stated, all the members patronized by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would also be treated as independent members.
The ECP mentions that the party positions of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and the National Assembly have been reorganized, post the Supreme Court ruling, membership of the members with PTI or Sunni Ittehad Council will no longer be apparent.
A notification has been issued by the Election Commission in response to the Supreme Court’s order dated August 25. The Election Commission has put out new lists pertaining to party positions in the assemblies.
