AJK Govt distributes over Rs 50m relief checks to disaster victims in Neelum Valley

NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): On the instructions of the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhary Anwarul Haq, the district administration distributed relief cheques worth more than Rs 50 million to the victims of natural disasters.

According to the details, funds worth more than Rs 57.5 million released by the Azad Kashmir government under natural disasters were delivered to the victims. Relief checks were provided to the affected families in Aathmaqam, Jagran, Sharda, and Kel.

Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Ahmed Janjua distributed checks worth Rs 34.6 million to the families of the deceased and the victims of the fire in Sharda and Kel after Tehsil Aathmaqam. Relief was delivered to the victims of Sharda Bazaar and Shaal Dabba, a village near Jagran, at their doorsteps.

On this occasion, the affected citizens raised slogans in favour of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government and offered prayers to the Deputy Commissioner who distributed the relief checks amongst the victims.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudary Anwarul Haq, announced 1 billion rupees for the residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
