ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has initiated the disbursement of the August 2025 amount to deserving women and families across Pakistan.
As per the recent update, the eligible applicants would receive a payment of Rs14,500.
The BISP still disburses monthly financial assistance to poverty-stricken families. To better make the benefit accessible and transparent, the government simplified the verification process for eligibility.
Check Eligibility through SMS
Citizens can send their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number without dashes to 8171 through an SMS to confirm their status and payment information.
The disbursement is being made in phases, and registered beneficiaries are urged to undergo biometric verification to avoid delays.
Authorities have indicated that only those people who undergo biometric verification would be eligible to receive all three outstanding payments.
Some applicants were declared ineligible due to some problems like incorrect CNIC details, income levels above the program limit, lack of proper biometric verification, outdated registration data, or twin applications.
They are requested to verify once more with 8171 or contact the local BISP office for assistance.
