PEIRA directs AJK schools to halt direct fee collection

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Private Educational Institutions Registration Authority (PEIRA) has directed private educational institutions to refrain from directly collecting fees from students or pressuring them to deposit fees.

According to the circular, all matters related to fees will be settled with the parents or guardians, while using students as messengers or revealing their financial status is strictly prohibited.

It has been further stated that no student can be deprived of a classroom or examination based on non-payment of fees, nor will children be subjected to humiliation and humiliation in this regard.

The authority clarified that for every private institution, it will be mandatory to deal with fee collection matters only through the accounts office; otherwise, strict action will be taken under the AJK Private Educational Institutions Act 2007.
