KARACHI (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Section has prevented a wanted criminal from escaping abroad from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.
Immigration officials caught the accused, Aniq Khan, who was on the Azad Kashmir Police‘s wanted list in a case of kidnapping and murder registered last month.
The suspect, who belongs to Kotli, Azad Kashmir, was trying to fly to Qatar.
The FIA said the arrest was made in the course of regular immigration checks and that it prevented the flight of a person with serious offenses.
The suspect was handed over to the concerned authorities for further proceedings.
