CHIRHOI, Kashmir English): A young man, resident of Mohajir Camp Charhoi, jumped from a hill while being chased by the police and was severely injured.
He is lying on the hospital bed now in a critical condition. According to details, Shahid, a young man residing in Charhoi Mohajir Camp, jumped from Margalla Hill while being chased by the police.
The Police stated that Shahid had hashish, which is why they were chasing him. However, the police could not explain why the officers were in plain clothes.
Shahid’s brother, Ali, speaking to reporters at the hospital, said that his brother Shahid came to Chirhoi from his home, and another boy was with him. If anything happens to my brother, Charhoi police will be responsible for it, he added.
Police without uniform
“Police employees without uniform chased my brother. Had the police been in uniform, my brother would not have run.”
The police presented more than a quarter kilogram of hashish wrapped in a shopper as evidence, stating that they had received a tip-off.
“These two boys were coming from the front; we suspected them. They collided their motorcycle with ours and threw their motorcycle and ran away.”
The police further said that when the police chased them, the boys sped up. One boy ran into the field, while the other jumped into a deep ditch by the roadside.
The police found a shopper containing hashish at the spot where he jumped. Shahid has been admitted to the hospital in a severely injured condition.
