BIRMINGHAM (Kashmir English):  South Africa defeated Pakistan by 9 wickets in the final of the Legends League to win the World Championship of Legends 2025.

In the final match played in Birmingham, the Pakistan champions won the toss and decided to bat first, scoring 195 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Sharjeel Khan played a brilliant innings of 76 runs off 44 balls, which included 9 fours and 4 sixes.

Apart from them, Shoaib Malik scored only 20 runs off 25 balls. Asif Ali scored 28 runs off 15 balls, which included 1 four and 2 sixes. Umar Amin remained not out after scoring 36 runs off 19 balls.

Viljan and Wayne Parnell took 2 wickets each.

South Africa achieved the target of 196 runs in the 17th over for the loss of just one wicket.

AB de Villiers scored an unbeaten 120 runs off 60 balls, which included 12 fours and 7 sixes. This was his third century of the tournament.

JP Duminy remained unbeaten on 50 runs off 28 balls, his innings included 4 fours and 2 sixes.

The only South African player to be dismissed was Hashim Amla, who scored 18 runs off 14 balls. Saeed Ajmal dismissed him.
