RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): SSP Poonch Khawar Ali Shaukat, on his very first day of posting in Rawalakot, took strict action and ordered the arrest of two police officials for taking bribes.
According to details, SSP Poonch Khawar Ali Shaukat took immediate action on a citizen’s complaint of bribery against two constables of Khai Gala Police Station, registered a case against them, and the officials were arrested.
According to sources, the arrested cops include Danish Sagheer, Assistant DFC, resident of Sangola, and Fida Hussain, Driver, resident of Hajeera.
SSP Poonch Khawar Ali Shaukat stated that an effective mechanism of self-accountability exists within the police department.
Strict action will be taken against officers involved in exceeding their authority and corruption to maintain public trust in the police.

The zero-tolerance policy on corruption will be strictly enforced, according to the department. Citizens have appreciated SSP Poonch for the action.
It is worth noting that Khawar Ali Shaukat was recently promoted and appointed as SSP Poonch.
