DHAKA (Kashmir English): Pakistan will meet Bangladesh in the second T20 International of the three-match series, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium here today (Tuesday).
On Sunday, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in first T20I.
Set to chase a 111-run target, the hosts won the match in just 15.3 overs to go up 1-0 in the three-match T20I series.
Bangladeshi opener Parvez Hossain Emon scored an unbeaten fifty to propel his side to victory. He scored 56 off 39 balls to help his side to a comfortable win despite Pakistan pacer Salman Mirza’s early twin strikes.
Tanzid Hasan fell to Mirza in the very first over after scoring just one run off four balls. Captain Litton Das was also sent to pavilion by Mirza on one run.
With the hosts reduced to 7/2 in 2.2 overs, Emon and Towhid Haridoy build a 73-run partnership to help their side win the game.
Earlier, Pakistan’s efforts to post a big score suffered a setback when Fakhar Zaman was run out for 44 in the 12th over.
Final T20I of the series
The final match of the T20I series will be played at the same venue on 24 July. Pakistan had completed a clean sweep in the recent Bangladesh tour to Pakistan. The touring side is likely to comeback in the today’s game.
