ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Infamous Farrukh Khokhar has entered politics and officially joined Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) during a gathering held at his residence in Rawalpindi.
On the occasion, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman arrived where Khokhar’s official announced its entry into politics.
The event was marked by fiery speeches and strong ideological affirmations, with both leaders vowing to strengthen the movement for an Islamic democratic Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering, Farrukh Khokhar expressed admiration for Maulana Fazlur Rehman, particularly citing the latter’s speech on Khatm-e-Nabuwwat as a turning point that inspired him.
“My family has a political background, with my father once affiliated with the Pakistan Peoples Party,” Khokhar noted, adding that he had now decided to align with JUI to serve religious and national interests.
He praised Maulana Fazlur Rehman for his unwavering support of the Pakistan Army during the war with India, calling him a true patriot.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, addressing the joining ceremony, welcomed Farrukh Khokhar into the party, stating that his inclusion would further energise JUI’s ranks and amplify its voice for Islamic values and constitutional supremacy.
“Farrukh Khokhar’s joining will not only strengthen our political convoy but also aid in the promotion of Islam across the country,” he remarked. Reaffirming the party’s mission, the JUI chief said the struggle for an Islamic democratic state will continue, and the constitution must reflect the values it was originally built upon.
