LAHORE (Kashmir English): Famous YouTuber Rajab Butt has once again landed in legal trouble after a petition was filed against him in a sessions court in Lahore. The complaint accuses him of using disrespectful language against the companions of the Prophet (Sahaba) in a recent social media video.
The petition was submitted by a local citizen, Shehzada Adnan, through his lawyer Mudassir Chaudhry. According to the petition, Rajab Butt’s remarks in the video have hurt the sentiments of many viewers. The petitioner stated that he had already approached the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to take legal action, but no case was registered.
The petitioner has now requested the court to order the NCCIA to file a formal case against Rajab Butt. Acting on the request, the Additional Sessions Judge has issued notices to the concerned parties.
This is not the first time Rajab Butt has faced legal challenges. In the past, he has been involved in several controversies and cases due to his social media content. His videos, often filled with bold and outspoken commentary, have drawn both attention and criticism.
Following the backlash over the latest video, Rajab Butt shared a story on social media while traveling by plane. In the story, he wrote: “If you want to become famous, do it outside of Pakistan.”
The incident has once again raised concerns over the responsibilities of content creators and the limits of free speech on digital platforms.
With millions of followers, Rajab Butt remains a widely recognized figure in Pakistan’s online space, but his recent actions have placed him under renewed scrutiny.
