ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan delivered an outstanding performance at the Asian Junior Squash Championship 2025, securing a total of seven medals in the prestigious tournament held in Islamabad. The event brought together top young talent from across Asia, and Pakistani players made their mark with skill and determination.
Among the standout performers was Abdullah Nawaz, who advanced to the semi-finals in the boys’ U-19 category with a commanding 3-0 victory. In the U-15 boys’ category, both Nauman Khan and Ahmed Rayan Khalil showed remarkable talent by making it to the semi-finals. The U-13 boys’ division saw Sohail Adnan reach the final four, while in the girls’ U-13 group, Mahnoor Ali also impressed by reaching the semi-finals.
The tournament saw a strong start for Pakistan, with the junior team winning nine out of eleven matches on the first day. This strong showing laid the foundation for their medal success in the later rounds of the Asian Junior Squash Championship.
The consistent performance of Pakistani players across multiple age brackets demonstrates the growing depth and potential in the country’s squash talent pool. It also reflects the efforts being made to promote and support junior squash through proper training and exposure.
As the Asian Junior Squash Championship concluded, Pakistan emerged not just with medals but also with a renewed confidence in its future squash stars.
