Bank of AJK opens 88th branch in Muzaffarabad’s Rahim Kot

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (BAJK) has expanded its services, opening its 88th branch in Rahim Kot, Muzaffarabad district, on Wednesday.

The ceremony was attended by esteemed guests, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar and AJK Finance Minister Khan Abdul Majid Khan.

Chaudhry Latif Akbar also opened a personal account in the new branch, showcasing his support for the bank’s initiatives.

The branch’s opening has brought banking facilities to a large population in Rahim Kot and surrounding areas, including Namat Fitot, Nakar, Peerot, Sarakar, Seri, Panjeli, Upper Fitot, Kiati, Prem Kot, Cutiker, Kandiali, Haveli, Lower Kot, Mishtamba, Jhagra Gali, Riat, Mira Sarvo, Basti Qureshiyan, Basuj Chachiyan, Mira Kalan, Mukhiya Gali, and Manja Ker.

The new branch will not only promote commercial activities but also provide easy access to banking services for students, farmers, traders, and common citizens. Local people have expressed gratitude to the bank and the government, terming this initiative as an important step for the area’s development.

President and CEO BAJK Shahid Shahzad Mir stated that the bank aims to provide quality financial services in remote and backward areas.

He pledged that the bank will continue to open branches in other areas of Azad Kashmir, offering modern banking facilities to the people.

Local people appreciated the bank’s initiative, saying they will no longer need to travel far for banking services. Bank President Shahid Shahzad Mir emphasized the bank’s commitment to expanding its services. Prayers were offered for the development and success of the bank, the state, and the country.

On this occasion, Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir President/CEO Shahid Shahzad Mir, DHCRBD Raja Ghulam Mustafa, DH Operations Ehtisham Malik, DH CMD Muhammad Imtiaz Shaheen, DHSA MD Masood Ilyas Khan, Regional Head Muzaffarabad Jamal Anwar Khan, senior officials of the bank and a large number of local people were present.
