KARACHI (Kashmir English): Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the passing out ceremony of the Pakistan Naval Academy on Saturday as the chief guest. The event, held at PNS Rahbar in Karachi, marked the commissioning of the 123rd Midshipmen and the 31st Short Service Commission courses.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Upon arrival, he was presented with a ceremonial salute by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Navy, followed by an inspection of the parade.
The ceremony was filled with military tradition and discipline as the newly trained cadets marched in unison, signifying their successful journey from trainees to officers of the Pakistan Navy.
During the event, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir awarded prizes to cadets who excelled in various areas of their training.
Midshipman Abdul Rehman was conferred with the coveted Sword of Honour in recognition of his outstanding performance.
The event, attended by senior naval officers, families of the graduating cadets, and other dignitaries, was held in pleasant weather with intermittent light rain, adding to the ceremonial atmosphere.
Addressing the ceremony, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir congratulated the young officers and encouraged them to serve the nation with loyalty, professionalism, and dedication. He praised the Pakistan Navy for its growing role in defending the country’s maritime interests and maintaining regional stability.
Several senior officers from the Pakistan Navy were also present at the ceremony. Their participation, along with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s involvement, showcased the shared respect and collaboration between the armed forces.
