PESHAWAR (Kashmir English): Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Board of Directors announced annual bonus for its employees for the financial year 2025-26 on Thursday, sources have reported today. There are also very specific conditions associated with the employees and the people who would be eligible.
PESCO employees get a one-month salary bonus
- Employees on regular, contract, and deputation are eligible for one month’s basic salary as a bonus based on the official notification.
- Employees on a lump-sum and daily-wage basis would also receive an incentive equal to one month’s initial basic pay.
- The company said employees who have completed a minimum of six months at PESCO are eligible to get a bonus.
- It said no employee charged with corruption, power theft, or misconduct would get the reward.
- No employee undergoing inquiry against them by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), or any other authority would be entitled.
- Those who have suffered major disciplinary action, as further mentioned, would be ineligible for reward.
- Employees responsible for the delays in net metering approvals, billing connections, or complaint handling via the 118 Complaint Portal will not receive the rewards.
This decision has come days after other administrative changes in the company, when Governor Faisal Karim Kundi urged PESCO to ensure an uninterrupted power supply across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the Muharram period.
Chief Executive Engineer Akhtar Hameed Khan and his PESCO colleagues were briefing the governor in their meeting on current projects, as well as how things were being run, when it was announced to provide a one-month bonus to the employees.
According to them, equipment for the Band Korai Grid station is being delivered. And they said the Dera Ismail Khan grid station would begin working once the case related to legal affairs is finalized.
