Chief Justice AJK High Court reviews judicial performance at district level

KOTLI (Kashmir English): Chief Justice AJK High Court, Sardar Liaquat Hussain Shaheen has directed all the judicial officers to improve the justice delivery system and ensure timely disposal of pending cases.

A meeting was held at the High Court Circuit Bench in Kotli, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Justice Sardar Liaquat Hussain Shaheen.

The meeting was aimed to review the judicial performance of courts in the district and discuss strategies for improving the justice delivery system.

During the meeting, the Chief Justice sought a report from all judicial officers regarding the judicial working of their courts.

Each officer provided details about the pending cases in their respective courts. The Chief Justice reviewed the performance of each court and expressed satisfaction with the efforts of all judicial officers.

The Chief Justice issued several directives to ensure efficient justice delivery.

The Chief Justice directed judicial officers to prioritize the disposal of cases pending for more than five years. He emphasized that no delay would be tolerated in resolving old cases.

The Chief Justice instructed all judicial officers and staff to ensure punctuality in their work.

He also directed judicial officers to ensure the early decision of cases and timely delivery of justice.

The meeting was attended by all judicial officers of the headquarters, including District and Sessions Judge Raja Shamrez Khan. The participation of all judicial officers ensured a comprehensive review of the judicial system in the region.

The meeting reflects the High Court’s commitment to improving the justice delivery system in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. By reviewing performance and issuing directives, the Chief Justice aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the courts in the region, according to the officials.
