Teachers Association demands permanent appointment, scale upgradation

HATTIAN BALA (Kashmir English): A consultative meeting of the Teachers Association was held in Hattian Bala to discuss key demands related to the teaching profession.

The meeting, chaired by District Jhelum Valley President Mirza Akram, was attended by senior officials and teachers.

The teachers demanded the immediate issuance of a notification for scale degradation.

They also demanded that teachers recruited under NTS be removed from the stop-gap law and made permanent by restoring the waiting merit list.

The meeting was attended by Central Joint Secretary Raja Mubashir Ahmed, Sultan Kayani, Raja Afaq Ahmed, Presidential Candidate Waqar Kazmi, Neil Ahmed Kayani, Tehsil Coordinator Wajid Ahmed Abbasi, Qadeer Ahmed Qureshi, Honorable Amjad Malik, and other officials.

The participants of the meeting said that if the demands are met in the budget, a day of thanksgiving will be observed to acknowledge the services of teachers.

Otherwise, if the demands are not met, the organization will take all possible steps as directed by the central leadership.
