MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The exam scheduled for today by Allama Iqbal University has been postponed. According to the university, the rescheduled date for the exam is now set for June 17.

The exams have been postponed considering the tense and further escalating conditions of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Pakistan with India’s unprovoked attacks.

The notification announces the postponement of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) final examinations originally scheduled for May 8th 2025, due to the prevailing security situation. The affected regions include the entire areas under the Regional Centers (RC) of Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, and Rawalakot in Azad Kashmir.

The new date for these examinations has been rescheduled to June 17th 2025, Tuesday. The notification references earlier date sheets issued for the Autumn Semester 2024. It clarifies that all other details, such as examination centres, timing, and admit cards, already issued to students or available on the student portal, will remain unchanged and valid for the rescheduled exams.

India has attacked Pakistan after blaming it for the Pahalgam Incident, despite the country denying any relation to the attack. Not even the lack of evidence could restrain India from making such harsh moves.

Additionally, The AJK Supreme Court Golden Jubilee celebrations have been postponed in light of the prevailing national circumstances. The announcement was made during a Full Court Reference held under the chairmanship of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan.

Special thanks were extended to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, and other honourable judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan for their willingness to participate in the jubilee celebrations. Their support and acceptance had been a source of honour for the judiciary of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The postponement of the AJK Supreme Court Golden Jubilee marks a moment of pause but not an end, as preparations remain in place for the celebrations to resume once stability is restored.
