RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): At least 48 terrorists were killed in various intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations across Balochistan in the last 48 to 72 hours, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
The military’s media wing said that the high-tempo operations were conducted in “Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi districts against Indian proxies, Fitna al Hindustan & Fitna al Khwarij.”
Around 36 Indian sponsored terrorists were killed during comprehensive anti-terrorist operations with increased tempo in Balochistan in the last 12 to 24 hours, the statement further stated.
In a first incident on September 4, during the conduct of an operation in Mastung, security forces identified the movement of terrorists and engaged, resulting in the killing of 6 Indian sponsored terrorists.
“A cache of ammunition and improvised explosive devices was also destroyed on-site,” it said.
In another engagement, an intelligence-based operation was conducted in the general area of Shaban in Quetta.
“During the operation, the troops identified four Khwarij hideouts and, after an ensuing fire exchange, neutralized 26 Khwarij.”
The ISPR further added that two Indian sponsored terrorists were killed in another intelligence-based operation in Kalat district, where a terrorist hideout was raided.
“In the Bhag area of Sibi district, swift response by security forces in conjunction with the local population foiled a terrorist attempt to raid the police station Bhag.” During the fire exchange, two terrorists were sent to hell, ISPR said.
“In the last 48 to 72 hours — 48 terrorists belonging to Indian proxies, Fitna al Hindustan & Fitna al Khwarij have been neutralised across Balochistan.”
12 killed in Kalat
Earlier today, in a statement, the military’s media wing confirmed the killing of 12 terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna Al Hindustan in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Kalat.
According to the ISPR, the operation was conducted on the reported presence of terrorists on September 2.
During the conduct of the operation, a terrorist hideout was identified, monitored, and busted through prompt surgical action, killing all 12 Indian sponsored terrorists, ISPR said.
“A cache of ammunition and improvised explosive devices was also destroyed on-site,” it added.
The statement said that the sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area.
“Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.”
